Meet A Senior in the Class of '09

What are you enjoying most about your senior year?
I think I am enjoying the extra privileges that come with just being a senior. Bro. Poling allowed us to decorate our classroom area in a more homey way and that was so nice. I'm also looking forward to being able to put ideas together for Spring Fling in the spring too. I love being a school officer! The Spirit in the high school is better this year and I'm enjoying school more. Bro. Poling is like a dad to us. He is so patient.

What are your greatest concerns at this time in your life?
Honestly, my salvation. I'm praying a lot more and asking God to speak to me and to convict me. I do want to be saved and know it. I sometimes see people who just sit in church waiting for God to drop understanding on them. I'm asking Him to show me. I want to learn things now, and not just because I have to! I don't want to learn things and just forget it. I want to learn it and put it to use.

What would you like to do in the future?
I would love to own my own business someday.

Do you have any advice for other students?
Choose your friends wisely. For people who are seeking salvation, this is important. Take devotions in school seriously. Don't look at life as a playground or joke your way through school. I'm a lot more serious about things this year.

What do you see as your greatest blessings?
My Mom and Dad. I see how hard my dad is working for our family. I need to be more that way. I need to be helpful to my mom and dad. My mom prays for us kids, in front of us. That means a lot to hear her pray for us. I know she is concerned for us. I think our housing situation has been good for us. I honestly think it has been a blessing for our family because it has shown us who
we really are!
